One of the two main group project during the second year was to create a mechanical hand held kitchen appliance. We decided to design a new whisk for the target group: amateur 50+ hobby chefs.

For this project everybody had to design his own concept. From these concept we decided to go with the most basic principle with we brought back to only 3 part: the handle, the hook and the plug that hold the two together.

The final product is a new type of whisk that uses centripetal force to make create a faster movement than normal whisks. The hook at the end of can rotate freely around the center of the handle and with it's off center weight point in this way the hook moves faster than your hand. Also the space between the two rods allows more air to go into the whipped cream and speed up the process.
